Lana Schwartzman, Head of Regulatory and Compliance at Notabene, brings over 18 years of expertise in digital assets, web3, fintech, and traditional finance. Renowned for her successful design and implementation of BSA/AML/Sanctions Compliance programs, Lana has led MSB/MTL licensure strategies, internal audits, independent compliance reviews, and consent order validations for various crypto and financial entities. At Notabene, she spearheads regulatory engagements and strategy, working closely with regulators and industry associations and stakeholders on Travel Rule compliance and contributing thought leadership on various compliance topics.
Lana’s previous roles include Chief Compliance Officer at Dapper Labs and another prominent crypto company. She spent seven years at Grant Thornton advising early crypto adopters on regulations, AML, and sanctions programs, and began her career in compliance at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank.
Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in digital asset regulations, Lana is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and holds the ACAMS Virtual Currency Certification, multiple Chainalysis certifications, and the Notabene Travel Rule Fundamentals Certification (NB-TRFC). She was honored as “AML Professional of the Month” in 2019 and frequently shares her insights as a panelist at ACAMS, ACFCS, and various crypto/Web3/NFT conferences.
