Sam Williams is the inventor of Arweave - the world's first protocol that enables permanent data storage. He is also the CEO of Forward Research, an incubator that promotes the development and adoption of Arweave globally.

Driven by his passion for empowering free speech, Sam has founded and invested in companies building a new decentralized web that guarantees users’ rights. A former PhD candidate in computer science, Sam is widely regarded as an expert in blockchain consensus mechanisms and incentive design and has delivered keynotes across the globe on these topics.
