Global Blockchain Policy: The State of DLT Regulation Worldwide
Europe’s MiCA regulation is not only important for the EU, it has the power to influence the future of blockchain policy worldwide. In the next 18-24 months, as the world emerges from the global pandemic, new disruptive technology is more likely to become mainstream and government stakeholders worldwide will seek to ensure that is well regulated following other technologies.
This event provides an overview of potential future updates, as well as insights into the current status of blockchain policy worldwide. The event will open with an introduction by INATBA and the work the association does to bridge the private and public sectors for mutual cooperation, focusing on the significant work undertaken to review and make changes to the European Commission’s proposed MiCA regulation. FTI Consulting team members will then present further info on the current state of play of blockchain policy and what the future holds.
